The Historic Mount Morgan Police Station
From mayhem to murder, the Mount Morgan Court Precinct has seen it all.
This classical revival building of rendered brick was completed in 1900 and during its lifetime has served as a police station, lockup and magistrates office, District and Supreme Court. One of the most important functions of the courthouse was settling mining claim disputes and up until 1990 it operated as a Mining Wardens Court.
Today the recently renovated building is home base to four police officers.
